What makes this tool unique — Life Stage Scoring:
Every stage of a hen’s life carries completely different nutritional priorities. This tool scores each nutrient category based on your flock’s specific stage:
🐣 Chick Starter (0–8 weeks) — High protein priority. Calcium is REDUCED — excess calcium at this stage causes permanent kidney damage. A built-in safety alert fires if chicks are detected receiving layer pellets or oyster shell.
🐤 Grower (8–18 weeks) — Bone and muscle development. Protein gradually reducing. Greenery introduction phase.
🐔 Layer (18 weeks+) — Maximum calcium demand. A single eggshell requires 2g of calcium. Oyster shell access and water quality are the highest priority nutrients at this stage.
🪶 Moulting Hen — Protein jumps to 20%+. This is the single most important dietary change during moult. The tool identifies this immediately and flags it.
